Exchange - June 17th, 2012

Again it is good to be back with you this week. If you have had a chance to read any of our past eight articles, we have been talking about MAKING AN EXCHANGE, or in other words, “trading up for something better.” Our focus right now is on how the Word of God helps us make this exchange. In last week’s article, we quoted from Hebrews 4:12 [Amplified] how the word of God exposes, sifts, analyzes, and judges the very thoughts and purposes of our heart. The heart is Man’s innermost part of Himself. The Heart is that place which we are usually very protective over. You know, it’s that place where secrets are kept.

David quoted in Psalm 139:1 [New Living Translation], “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.” I like what David said in that same chapter in verse 23, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” Wow, that is true EXCHANGE taking place. Our question today is, “Would we be willing to do the same by saying, ‘Search me, O God, and know my heart?’” Well that is exactly what happens when we take the time to open up a Bible and read it every day. We are saying to God, “You know me better than anybody.” “You are my creator.” “Your ways are higher than my ways.” “Your thoughts are higher than mine.” “I know I am on your mind.” “Talk to me today through your Word.”

Let Him search your heart this week by reading…I Corinthians 13:4-8 in an Amplified Translation. And as always, make sure to, “Enjoy Another Carolina Day.”
