Exchange - July 15th, 2012
It is good to be back with you this week. Remember we are talking about MAKING AN EXCHANGE, or in other words, “TRADING UP FOR SOMETHING BETTER.” We said the moment you begin to read the Word of God an EXCHANGE begins to take place. Psalm 119:130 [KJV] says, “The entrance of Thy Words [the Word of God] giveth light.” We said for this EXCHANGE to be complete we have to not only be a hearer of the Word but we have to be a Doer of it as well. And the cool thing about it is God will bless you when you do.
For the next few weeks we are going to be looking into Proverbs 4:1-27 [New Living Translation] to help us learn how to be a hearer and doer of the Word of God. Listen to what Proverbs 4:10-13 says, “My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble. Take Hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life.” Wow, did you see that last statement: TAKE HOLD OF MY INSTUCTIONS; DON’T LET THEM GO. GUARD THEM, FOR THEY ARE THE KEY TO LIFE. Join us next week and we will dig into this more. But for now, here is some homework for you. Get yourself a Bible, a New Living Translation preferably, and read Proverbs 4:1-27 a few times before next week’s article comes out. That way we will be ready to study together.
Here is one more scripture for you to read if you get a chance, I Corinthians 13:4-8 [Amplified]. And as always, make sure to Enjoy Another Carolina Day.
