Pastor Stephen was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He was raised and lived on Roanoke Island to the age of 18. In the summer of 1988, at the age of 21, he accepted the call of God on his life and attended RHEMA Bible Training Center(RBTC) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While attending RBTC, he also attended RHEMA Bible Church and was involved in multiple volunteer ministries.
Pastor Stephen graduated from RBTC in 1991 and in October of 1992, he married Tiffany. They lived in Canton, Ohio, with their two children, McKenzie and Chaise, until the summer of 2006.
While residing in Canton, Pastor Stephen served faithfully as an assistant pastor for thirteen and a half years under the ministry of Pastor Michael Cameneti, founder and senior pastor of Faith Family Church. While on staff, Pastor Stephen served in many capacities. He began as Housekeeping Supervisor, worked in the Accounting Department, and, along with his wife, Tiffany, taught preteen age youth for seven years. He was also involved with administration, counseling, weddings, funerals, and planning events and new projects.
Two of his significant roles as a pastor were the oversight and leadership of 1200 volunteers and the coordination of the Visitation Department. While serving at Faith Family Church, Pastor Stephen began to sense the call to pioneer a church on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In August of 2006 Pastor Stephen and his family, with full support of his senior pastor, answered that call. They now reside in Manteo, North Carolina and are the senior pastors of Coastal Family Church. Pastor Stephen believes that his training at RBTC and the thirteen and half years serving at Faith Family Church have been vital preparation for pastoring Coastal Family Church.
