The Goodness, Greatness, and Glory of God
Jesus, we open our hearts and minds to You today meditating on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. We shall contemplate the might of Your awesome acts and declare Your greatness. We shall utter the memory of Your great goodness and sing Your righteousness. (Psalms 145:5-7) We are thankful to You and bless Your name. For You, Lord, are good, Your mercy is everlasting. (Psalm 100:4-5)
Jesus, we hunger today to grow in the knowledge and understanding of Your goodness, greatness, and glory. Please show us through our interactions today Your loving and guiding hand in every aspect of our lives. Please let us see today not the frustrations and fears of the world but the blessings and protections You provide all day long. Please let us witness and experience Your glory today in a tangible and powerful way.
Jesus, as we call to mind the beloved person we have been praying for all week, and those who once knew You but have wandered, please guide us in how to pray for them and how to be a light for them. Please dwell among them, show them Your glory, and help them to realize your abounding love and grace. (John 1:14) Jesus, please ask the Father to call them, remove the scales from their eyes, humble their prideful hearts, help them to realize they can’t do life without You, and bring them back into the safety of Your arms. Jesus, please send the Holy Spirit to work mightily in their lives, sending in many sowers and harvesters to share the Gospel with them. We offer up all these prayers in Your precious and Holy Name. Amen.
