Our goal in Coastal Family Kids is to introduce your kids to the real Jesus at each phase of life by telling the story of Jesus and bringing the Bible to life. Our teams provide a safe, fun, and engaging experience where your child can be paired with a leader to guide them through service and into a closer relationship with Jesus.

Our goal in Coastal Family Kids is to introduce your kids to the real Jesus at each phase of life by telling the story of Jesus and bringing the Bible to life.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Help children develop a genuine love for Jesus, build their lives on the truth of God’s Word, connect in meaningful friendships, and discover their purpose at a young age. To find out more about Coastal Family Kids and how you can get involved read the information below or contact our team.

YOUR FIRST TIME:

From babies to fifth graders, our team wants to give your family an excellent experience.

When you arrive, our team will happily show you the way to the children’s area. You’ll go to the first-time check-in station where you can tell us a little about your family to help us serve you well. On our check-in form we’ll ask things like what allergies your child may have, how many children are in your family, and get your contact information. Or you can fill out the new family check-in form online to save a few minutes when you check-in for the first time.

Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. If for any reason we need to reach you during the service, you’ll receive a text to the number of your choice. This sticker is also what you’ll use to pick up your child after the service.

We know babies have specific needs and schedules, let our team know the feeding, sleeping, and changing needs your child has. We also take time to love and pray for your child each week.

Your child will experience personal care from our well-staffed team. We keep our nursery rooms ready for your little ones with age-appropriate toys that are thoroughly cleaned between services. They also have their own worship experience with worship and a bible lesson.

In preschool, children start to engage more with their church experience, we help them interact and build their faith through stories, lessons, and songs that give them Biblical truths. They also start to form relationships with other kids and their teachers.

Every weekend, your children 6yrs through 11yrs come to a Coastal Family  Kids service where they experience dynamic worship and Biblical teaching.  Together, we learn about the Bible and how to have a relationship with God, memorize Scripture, and have fun developing friendships with each other.

PARTNERING WITH PARENTS

We believe the best way we can help your kids develop a strong spiritual foundation is by partnering with you. Together, we can help encourage, train, and pray for them as they grow in their faith.

Here are some practical ways you can help us make the most of your child’s time spent at church:

  • Pick a consistent service time to help your kids build a relationship with their Small Group leader and other kids their age.

  • Practice the current Coastal Family Kids Scripture memorization with your kids.

  • Build relationships with other Coastal parents.

  • Pray for your children each week as they come to church, and pray for our teams as they serve and care for your kids.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When can we check in?

We begin accepting children into the classrooms 15 minutes before the start of each worship service.

How is my child protected?

We maintain a “two-adult rule” classroom policy. There must be at least two volunteers in a classroom before we will begin accepting children.

How do I pick up my child?

Parents are given a security tag when checking a child into the classroom and must return it in order to pick up their child; no child will ever be released without the parent presenting their security tag.

How is my child’s diaper changed?

Men or volunteers under the age of 18 are not permitted to change children’s diapers. We will place a tag on the diaper to let you know what was changed during our service.

In case of emergency?

Upon check-in, parents will be asked to provide an emergency contact number.

How can my child use the bathroom in the classroom?

The children in our care are always accompanied to the restroom by one of our adult volunteers, but our volunteers never take a child to the restroom alone.

How do you know volunteers are safe?

All CF Kids volunteers have been background checked.

What will my child do in their classroom?

We provide a full worship experience from worship, to a bible lesson, a craft, and a safe snack.
