Day 12: FOCUS ON RECEIVING
Father God, we come to you today with prayers of thanks for revealing yourself to us in so many ways. Thank you for sending your Son to walk this earth, for sending the Word to become flesh and make His dwelling among us. (John 1:14). Thank you, Father for revealing yourself to us in creation, in the good works of believers, in your Word, in signs, wonders and miracles, and through the Holy Spirit. You have given us so many ways to know you and to see your glory. Thank you, Father! In this time of prayer and fasting we are actively seeking You, please strengthen our faith. Please help us to come to you Lord, believing that You are the Great I AM, and trusting that you are a rewarder of those who seek you (Hebrews 11:6). We are humbly asking Father that you reward us by revealing yourself to us, in a very deep and personal way during this 21-day journey. Please allow us to receive this fresh revelation of you as a powerful step forward in our maturity as Christians, and as a powerful testimony to provide to believers and unbelievers alike.
Jesus our teacher, thank you for showing us the importance of timing. Help us to learn from your words, “my hour has not yet come” (John 2:4, John 7:6, John 7:30). We seek your help Lord in teaching us to be patient as we wait for deeper revelation of the Father, and as we wait for breakthrough in our most desperate prayers. We seek your help Precious Savior, in supernaturally granting us the fortitude and perseverance to pray through to the revelation and breakthrough, to not give up, give in, or lose faith no matter how long it takes – be it days, weeks, months or years. We seek your help Jesus to become a beacon of faith, never wavering in our trust of your goodness and faithfulness much like Abraham who patiently waited for your impossible promise to come to fruition. We seek your help Lord to fill us with your peace and patience so that we do not try to force the breakthrough by our own power or actions, but to remain in you, in Spirit, praise and worship as Paul and Silas did – allowing your glory, your miracle, your perfect plan to enter the natural world (Acts 16). We seek your help Waymaker, as we fast & pray these 3 weeks, to wait for your message, to recognize it and fully understand it when it arrives, and to honor your will in it, knowing the spiritual battle that had to occur for us to receive it (Daniel 10).
Holy Spirit, your Word tells us to “ask, and it shall be given to us, seek and we shall find, knock and the door will be open to us” (Matthew 7:7). Please help us to come to the throne of grace daily, asking for wisdom and revelation so that we may grow in our faith and become more effective in our discipleship. Please help us to seek the wisdom of the Father and the love and glory of the Son daily so that our spirits become sensitive to Your voice and His will. Please help us to knock like the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8) never giving up as Jesus taught. We offer up all of these requests in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
