Fasting to Understand the Goodness, Favor and Forgiveness of God.

Loving Father, thank you for Your goodness, mercy, forgiveness and favor. Thank You for freeing us from that which binds us, and for creating a plan of redemption for us and all people, a pathway to You through Jesus, revealed by the Spirit. Thank You for allowing us to live in a period of time where we do not have to “do in order to become” but are able to live in the freedom earned by Your precious Son. Please remind us daily of the freedom that Jesus paid such a horrifically high price for. Please help us to awaken every morning with a renewed joy in a freedom freely given, grace undeserved, and the miraculous mercy we have received as a gift through our relationship with Christ.

Father, what does it mean to perpetually live in Your favor? How should it feel? What should our response be? Please open Your revelation to the individuals coming to you in prayer today in very real and personal ways so that we can grow in our relationship with You, with Christ, and mature in our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit’s promptings. Please develop in us comfort and confidence in our daily conversations with you, removing our inhibitions to speak directly to You as our Father in private as well as public settings. Please slow us down and unharden our hearts and ears to hear Your answers.

Over all of these things Father, please help us to put on love, binding them all together in perfect unity. (Colossians 3:14) We offer up these questions and requests Father, not in our names, but in Jesus’ Holy and worthy name. Amen
