Overflowing in Obedience

We praise You Lord, with our whole heart; we tell of Your marvelous works. We will be glad and rejoice in You; We will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:1-2 For You, O Lord, bless the righteous; with favor You surround the righteous with a shield. Psalm 7:17

Father, we come to You today, on the last day of this corporate journey in a posture of prayer and surrender. We ask that as we reflect back on the past 3 weeks of fasting, prayers, and devotionals that You work in us a deeper revelation of who You are, who we are in You, and that You root and ground us in Love - which is You. Please help us to understand that to obey You IS to love You and to receive Your love. Please help us to comprehend that obeying You isn’t an obligation, it’s an honor and a blessing. “For this IS the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.” 1 John 5:3 “Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and observe it.” Luke 11:28 We must obey God rather than men.” Acts 5:29 Whoever keeps His Word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.” 1 John 2:5

Jesus, as we leave this time of structured prayer, please take our hands and lead us into a personal walk of deeper relationship with You. Please teach us how to stay constantly connected to the Father, and to be a constant reflection of Your light and salvation through our thoughts, words and actions. Thank You precious Shepherd for leading home all of the lost and wandering souls that have turned to You over the past 21 days. Please remind us to continue to pray for the lost, to seek them and to love them until we breathe our last breath.

Holy Spirit, thank You for convicting us, comforting us and leading us to Jesus again and again. Please continue to train us to grow a hypersensitivity to Your voice, so that we heed Your warnings, obey The Father’s will and resist temptation. Great Comforter, as we leave the structure of this corporate prayer time, please help us to design a disciplined routine for ourselves of prayer, praise, worship and consumption of Your Word as our nourishment. Please help us to grow and mature into the Christians the Father designed us to be to fulfill the call He has placed on our lives. We offer up all of these requests in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
