Day 1 - ANCHOR YOURSELF

God has empowered us to stand strong and be courageous, even when we go through difficult circumstances. We must stand firm and not concede any ground that God has given to us and move forward in His plans and purposes!

Holy Father, Creator and Lord, we love you, we praise you and we thank you for bringing us into this new year. Thank you for the breath in our lungs, the clothes on our bodies, the shelter you have provided and food in our bodies. Thank you for all of the promises you have given to your beloved children, for remaining faithful to us even when we stray from You. We ask Father that you help us to anchor ourselves to You and Your promises. We seek Your will and Your path for us. We are knocking on the door of Your goodness so that we can stand strong and be courageous every day of this year no matter what happens around us.

Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, we humbly seek your face today, coming to you with prayers of thankfulness and worship for Your saving power and goodness. As we begin this new year, we ask that You keep fresh in our hearts and minds the miracle of Your birth, life, and sacrifice on the cross. Please strengthen our faith and guide us to keep You anchored in our center always. Jesus our Shepherd, please help us to act in faith on Your promises for us looking only at You and not allowing ourselves to be distracted by feelings or circumstances. For we know that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things NOT seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

Holy Spirit, our faith, and our comforter, please help us keep our focus on the completed promises that you have for us, remaining positive and faithful as You walk us through the fulfillment of what is to come. Help us to have courage when we are afraid, strength when we are weak, and comfort in times of sadness. Help us Holy Spirit to trust in the plans you have for us, plans to prosper us and to give us hope and a future. We offer up all of these requests in the name above all names, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
