Day 4 - DEVOTE YOURSELF

God has empowered us to stand strong and be courageous, even when we go through difficult circumstances. We must stand firm and not concede any ground that God has given to us and move forward in His plans and purposes!

Great Father in heaven, we come to you today with willing hearts and desire to devote ourselves to you. Our spirits are willing Father, but our flesh is weak. We humble ourselves as we approach Your throne of grace, asking for your help in creating in us the iron will to devote ourselves completely to you – body, soul, and spirit. Help us Father, to present our bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to you, as our spiritual service of worship (Romans 12:1). Help us Father to stay focused, committed, and strong as we begin every day with the intention of serving you. Help us to feel your presence throughout the day in the midst of distractions, busyness, and challenges. Help us to keep our eyes focused on you, as you bless us with breakthrough and lead us to victory.

Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, you stood up to being tempted by the devil himself, never wavering or faltering, but always keeping your eyes on your Father. Please help us Jesus, to walk in your example, turning to prayer and the Word when our devotion is tested. Please help us Jesus, to recall your example, and to walk in love as you did, always focused on fulfilling the commission your Father gave you. “One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).

Holy Spirit, please help us to hold on to God’s promises, grace, mercy, and love as we walk through this life. Please strengthen our faith and help us to not falter when faced with temptation and challenges. Help us to not be influenced by worldly things, but to cling to God in all things and situations. As we walk through these 21 days and into 2021, please help us to wait upon the Lord, to mount up with wings like eagles, to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint (Isaiah40:31). We offer all these requests in the name above all names, Jesus Christ. Amen.
