Praying in Alignment with God’s Will

Holy and perfect Lord, You are the King of all the earth; we sing praises to You. (Psalm 47:7) We call upon You Lord, so worthy of our praise, You save us from our enemies. (2 Samuel 22:4) You are our strength and shield; our hearts trust in You, and we are helped; therefore our hearts exult, and with song we thank You. (Psalm 28:7)

Holy Spirit we come to You in prayer today asking for You to align us with the Father’s will. The Father has given us the scriptures, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to show us His will. Jesus exemplified an iron focus of staying in the Father’s will by praying often, praying alone, praying “thy will be done”, and saying and doing ONLY what the Father directed. Jesus’ connection with His Father was so close in his human body on earth, that He said, “I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30) Holy Spirit we come to You today to reveal to us the will of the Father as we pray and immerse ourselves in scripture. Please help us to hear Your voice of instruction, conviction, comfort, and guidance. Please help us to worship the Father in Spirit and truth so that our thoughts, words and actions align with His will. (John 4:23-24)

Holy Spirit we offer up prayers again today for the spiritually lost. We ask that You reveal to them the Father’s love and will for their lives and the Son’s sacrifice that makes it possible. We offer up all of these requests in the Holy name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
