Day 7 - BE STRONG

God has empowered us to stand strong and be courageous, even when we go through difficult circumstances. We must stand firm and not concede any ground that God has given to us and move forward in His plans and purposes!

Heavenly Father we come to you today asking for your grace and help as we seek to take the advice of James, “consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:2-4). Father, as we are tested over the coming 15 days and throughout 2021, help us to rise above our flesh, not cowering or fleeing in fear from the test, but walking boldly forward in pure joy, knowing that You are walking beside us holding our hands. “For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you” (Isaiah 41:13). Holy Father, please help us to result in praise and glory and honor as You reveal Jesus Christ to us, through the testing of fire, showing proof of our faith (1 Peter 1:7). Father, please help us to come forth as gold when You try us, (Job 23:10) so that we may shine brightly for the souls you are seeking to save through the redemptive love of Jesus Christ.

Jesus our Lord and Savior, please help us to hold fast to what God has called us to do. Please help us to fear God and not fear man. Please fill us with boldness and strength. Help us to stand against opposition and not give up ground. Please help us to set an example for those watching. When you became flesh and dwelt among us, you exemplified all of these principles in your daily life. We come to you now, asking for your supernatural help in guiding us to walk in your footsteps. Though we are not worthy to even untie the straps of your sandals, we are standing on your great love, mercy, and many promises. Thank you, dear Jesus, for your great love, your even greater sacrifice, and for sending us the great Helper, the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit, your Word says that “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to your purpose” (Romans 8:28). Please help us to see “good” through your eyes. So often our perception is skewed, desiring “good” as the world defines it and growing disappointed when the world’s definition does not come to pass. Please Holy Spirit, open our ears to hear, and our eyes to see, so that we may KNOW your goodness, your plan, your complete work. Please open our hearts to love, because You are love, and love never fails. We offer up these requests all in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
